MAPLE BAY YACHT CLUB OUTSTATIONS (2010)

The Maple Bay Yacht Club has secured outstation moorage at the following locations. Any questions, concerns, or suggestions may be directed to the Staff Captain for 2010, Carolyn Daley.

Fulford Harbour Marina

The MBYC has secured, in partnership with the Nanaimo Yacht Club (NYC), 100’ of moorage on the outside of “A” dock at the Fulford Harbour Marina. This moorage is available to us between June 15th  and September 15th and equates to approximately 3 vessels + one vessel rafted on the outer-most end.

As NYC is the parent club in this relationship, it is important we be respectful of their generosity and comply with the following rules:

  • The outstation moorage consists of 100’ on the outside of “A” dock with equates to 3 vessels + 1 vessel rafted on the outer-most end.

  • We share this moorage equally with NYC and agree to no more than 2 vessels from each club at any one time (unless our vessel is very large in which case only 1 vessel would be appropriate).

  • If no NYC vessels are on site then MBYC may use the full dock after 1800 hrs. Should an NYC arrive prior to 1800 hrs, they are entitled to moor on their dock or to have their moorage paid for by the last arriving and docked MBYC vessel.

  • Members may moor at this outstation for no more than 2 consecutive days at any time.  If no other boats are moored, then the marina manager may award additional nights.

  • Power is available to members for a daily fee.

  • Members are to register with the marina, and sign our Yacht Club Outstation log upon arrival.

  • Showers, water, and power are available for moored members.
